Khet Bachao Abhiyan awareness programme was organised by Team 9 of ICAR AP Centre, Basar at Ango Tare Village under Leparada District on 5th June, 2026. The programme was attended by 10 farmers from the village. The programme was conducted as part of the nationwide campaign aimed at creating awareness among farmers about sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices. During the programme, emphasis was given to the balanced and judicious use of fertilizers to maintain soil health and enhance crop productivity. Farmers were also sensitized about the importance of natural farming practices, green manuring, and vermicomposting as effective approaches for improving soil fertility, reducing dependence on chemical inputs, and ensuring long-term sustainability of farming systems.
